Selling books on amazon.com is confusing to say the least. The Boy Behind the Gate started out at retail $27.95 with free shipping. After it hit its #1 ranking, they lowered the price to $20.40 plus shipping which pretty much makes the discount a wash. At the same time, I lowered the price on my site http://larryjacobson.com to $20 bucks plus shipping to match them. Now they’ve raised the price back up to retail. Go figure!
Evidently there’s enough activity on my book to warrant some attention and I’ll take that as a compliment. I guess the story of someone leaving everything to fulfill a dream of sailing around the world is interesting. Who knew?
The story is also motivating and I have received multiple unsolicited letters from readers who are finding inspiration in my message of living live to its fullest. For me, that’s the ultimate compliment because my new goal is to inspire you to make your dreams come true!
